So sorry: Sometimes this type of pain can be a normal part of your cycle, and sometimes it's because a young woman has a cyst on the ovary. You can try a NSAID like ibuprofen, and if pain persists, consider seeing a gynecologist so an ultrasound can be performed to make sure there isn't an ovarian cyst that is causing you this pain.
