Ovulation: If you are having monthly periods you are ovulating. Most women train themselves to learn to feel when their ovary releases the egg. This release of egg is usually just shy of half way through the menstrual cycle. Sperm left in the vagina during the five days leading up to ovulation are the sperm that will cause pregnancy.
