Difference is ....: What portion of the nervous system is involved. Mononeuritis multiplex is a neuropathy that begins as involvement of one nerve and spreads to affect multiple nerves. Regional pain syndrome refers to a region of the body in which the peripheral nervous system is damaged and also has autonomic nervous system involved as well causing a severe pain syndrome.
