Is there a reason: That you feel the need to kick your fertility in at 17? Enjoy your youth. Once the kids come, and they do--that's it-no more "me" time. Get a good education, find yourself, live independently or you'll someday regret it. As far as the answer to your question, it usually takes about 3 months for things to start cycling. It might take longer for actual ovulation.
