Depends: Sounds like two different issues. You can check TSH to rule out hyperthyroidism. But the fast metabolism of drugs may have more to do with your liver detox enzymes, particularly the cyp system.

Thyroid labs : Hi. Very easy to get tested: TSH, free T4; and if I suspect hyperthyroidism, I also get a free T3 (liothyronine). See your doc to get tested.
