Not risky but : It is not risky to be birth control pill while the on Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud but it is not likely to help anything. Birth control pills can prevent cyst formation but they do not speed up cyst resolution. Small ovarian cysts simply resolve on their own with no treatment.
