Can you explain if it's rare for a person dislocated elbow to heal within 4 days?

Specializes in Orthopedic Surgery

More info.: Adults who sustain posterior elbow dislocations ( simple) can heal fairly quickly but not in 4 days. Usually the elbow needs to be splinted for a week to protect the ligaments followed by progressive rom. 'simple' elbow disc locations w/out associated fractures or serious ligament(mcl, lcl) disruptions heal usually @6 wks...The severity of elbow disloc.Varies widely! best of luck!
