It is better to: prevent the tan from developing in the first place. For lighter skin – always protect your skin. 1. Use a broad spectrum sun screen with a high SPF. Apply as often as needed. 2. Wears hat or other clothing to protect skin from Sun’s UV rays. 3. Try to avoid mid-day sun. A medication like hydroquinone may take months to work and usually it’s use would be limited to a particular site on the body.
