A member asked:

Can someone tell me the difference in a partial cecectomy and a right hemicolectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Cecectomy just removes the very "tip" of the start of the colon. Right hemicolectomy removes the entire right side of the colon. Often done for a large polyp or cancer.
