Anovulation: If you normally have regular cycles, and now your cycle is not occurring (and pregnancy tests are negative), then this has to do with delayed or absent ovulation this last cycle. This can occur as a random occurrence, but also in the setting of thyroid disease and elevation of a hormone called prolactin. Talk to your doctor about testing.

See below: At your age, it is not uncommon to have irregular cycles due as the hormones are still stabilizing. Get a blood test for pregnancy. If it is negative (as expected) then just wait. Sometimes birth control pills also cause irregularity in periods. If you do have periods in the next 2 weeks, get a pelvic ultrasound to exclude other ovarian pathologies.
