ginger. Steep 5 min. in a covered pot. Add 2 to 3 tbs honey & sip. Try Thyme tea. Consider making tea with 2 tsp of Marshmallow root bark per 1cup of hot water (steep in a covered pot for at least 5 minutes). Drink several times a day or as needed to relieve throat pain. Try adding 2 tsp of slippery elm bark to 1 cup of hot water (steep for at least 5 minutes in a covered teapot). Drink this as needed to relieve pain or a few times per day. Slippery Elm Bark lozenges are another option.

Many: You can goggle with salt dissolved in warm water, Aspirin dissolved in warm water, drink tea with honey, chicken soup, zinc supplements have been shown to decrease the duration of a cold if you have one, etc. However, if you have a strep throat, home remedies would be a mistake as strep throat can sometimes lead to heart damage. Have a sore throat evaluated to make sure it is not strep.
