Interstitial cystiti: Ic is quite often associated with high tone pelvic floor musculature. This contributes to overall pelvic aching ; is a major factor for dyspareunia. Muscle relaxers, including valium, do have a role in treating this aspect of ic. I often prescribe valium vaginal suppositories rather than oral valium. Regardless of how it's ingested though, valium can be addicting.
