Are you: Are you seeing a dermatologist? Usually it takes at least 3. Months to get hair to grow back. You may have more than one cause for your hair loss.

Hope it grows out: Intense heat, high heat drying/ironing, and some "perm" chemicals can all damage the hair and make it thin and fall out as you have experienced first hand. Stopping the behavior is the treatment, which you did. Using approved hair products to help re-vitalize your hair can help, and hopefully without any follicle damage, new hair will grow out thicker. Good luck.
