?Periodic limb move: Ment disorder. Your description sounds like restless legs syndrome. The appropriate way to make the diagnosis is with a sleep study. They monitor your limb movements as well as your cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and brain rhythm. This provides useful information as to whether these the movements are disrupting sleep. This condition is amenable to treatment. Please see your doctor.
