Foods to avoid (especially in males as they are the ones that express this) are legumes, like fava beans, soy products, peanuts legumes. Beans, black beans, soy, peanuts and menthol flavored candies. Favism: Also known as g6pd deficiency a metabolic enzyme defect. Must avoid fava beans and certain meds like Dapsone which can trigger hemolytic anemia due to breakdown of red blood cells.
