No: Being 12 days late is not normal. The number one cause for a missed period is pregnancy, ..If you are sexually active, then you should check a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, see if the next cycle comes on time, and if not, then get an eval by your gyn to check for other possible causes of secondary amenorrhea. Best wishes.
