See neurologists if: Headaches persist. You do not give the cause of the water intoxication, and how severe it was. It may take a long time before your sodium levels are back to normal, and headache may persist for some time. If it has been a week or more since the correction of your electrolytes and you still have headache, talk to your pcp or ask to see a neurologist.
