A member asked:

Can parents with b and o blood type can have a child with a or ab blood type? it is possible if any of the grand parents of the child have a or ab?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood type heredity: If the parents are definitely b and o then it would not be possible for their child to be either ab or a since neither parent carries the a antigen. The blood types of the grandparents do not have an effect on the grandchild. It is only the parents who influence the blood type of the offspring.
