Few seconds: Transvaginal ultrasound probe is used to get some clarification, to confirm what pelvic ultrasound already show-it usually take a few seconds only because it is somewhat uncomfortable to pts.

Sonogram: The vaginal probe is placed only as long as needed to visualize the pelvic organs or pregnancy. Usually, a transvaginal ultrasound is no more than 10 minutes but can be shorter or longer.
