CXR/TB test/M.D.: Most uncomplicated viral illnesses will not involve chest pain or night sweats. There may be another condition involved. A TB test and chest radiograph may be ordered by your doctor. Sometimes the lining of the lung can be inflamed and will cause pain especially upon inhalation. Flu symptoms tend to improve over the course of one week.
