Call M.D. office: The correct dose depends on his weight. If the Motrin has 100 mg per teaspoon, then he may receive up to 10 mg per every 2, 2 lbs that he weighs. In a day, the maximal dose for the whole day is 40 mg per every 2.2 lbs that he weighs. The dose that you gave is high for his the average four year old. I would recommend not giving the next dose and calling your doctor's office.
