YES: Having herpes and being pregnant is very common. If you do not currently have an outbreak (and have not during the pregnancy) then you need to be treated with Valtrex (valacyclovir) daily beginning at 35 weeks. If you had an outbreak during the current pregnancy, then i would treat the outbreak and keep you on daily medication for the entire pregnancy.

Yes you will: Your infection can be treated with Acyclovir during pregnancy and if you still have active lesions at time of delivery.Your baby can be delivered by cesarian section talk to your doctors about your options.
