Tough problem: Morphea is a subtype of scleroderma. It can cause a scar-like linear dermal contraction, which can extend down the face, but can occur anywhere. It is supposedly self limited, but persists 5-10 years. There are some topical treatments which may reduce the intensity, but you'll need to see a dermatologist for evaluation. Good luck.
