Paxil vs Paxil CR: Paroxitine or Paxil is a SSRI that has been FDA approved for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder & Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Paroxetine controlled-release (Paxil CR) dissolves over 4 to 5 hour where as Paroxetine (Paxil) dissolves more quickly. Both have a lot of side effects.
