I know it's normal, but why are fetal heart rates so fast? like what is the reason for them being so fast?

Biology: All warm blooded creatures heartbeats are faster the smaller they are. And Alupent (metaproterenol) for wales heartbeat is very slow compared to hummingbird for example. It is mainly secondary to the faster metabolism of the smaller animal. The fetus is very small and at a fast rate of metabolism requiring a fast heart rate.
