Probably not: I do not believe that the two are related. Based on the symptoms of a change in your period and passage of clots, you should consider a visit to your doctor for an exam and an ultrasound of your pelvis.

Doubtful: It is unusual to have shorter, heavier cycles with clots, especially after removing paragard. Please see a gynecologist for evaluation of this bleeding pattern.
