Personal choice: You have a high probability of having a child with downs. The decision to do a nuchal scan and other means of analysis implies that you would decide to have an abortion. Otherwise, why would you get the analysis in the first place if you conviction would not be to have an abortion for whatever reason. However, the choice is still yours and your partners to make.

Nuchal translucency: First trimester screening for Down syndrome tells you whether or not you are at high risk for a baby with down syndrome. It cannot identify your baby as having down syndrome. If you have a positive screening test, then you can find out if your baby is effected by having a cvs, amniocentesis or the new matern21 blood test for down syndrome.
