Yes: Any aerobic activity is very helpful in loosing weight. However, a low carbohydrate diet is equally as important. One will not work without the other.

Fat to Muscle: You may loose some weight but you will primarily turn fat into muscle. This is a healthy thing to do and the number on the scale may be about the same but you will be in better health and that will radiate out to others. Peace and good health.
