True reversal: Doesn't occur. Your glucose can return to normal with significant weight loss, medication, stoppage of steroids or other medication, elimination of infection, etc. However, you still are the same person and the predisposition to diabetes from weight, age and genetics still persist and can worsen again at any time. Lose weight through diet/exercise and follow your doc's instructions.
