Teas ; pregnancy: It is recommended that you not drink nettle leaf, fennel, sassafras, rosemary, hibiscus, ephedra, licorice root, raspberry leaf, anise or sage tea. Encourage you to limit caffeine intake -so if you drink white, red, yellow or green tea- try to make it decaffeinated. Ginger, lime, barley, peppermint and thyme tea are safe during pregnancy.

Decaffeinated tea: Decaffeinated green tea should be safe during pregnancy. Make sure you're also taking your prenatal vitamins. Some studies link drinking green tea to neural tube defects in babies -- but the evidence is not strong. Staying on your prenatals should protect you and your baby. Best wishes.
