A member asked:

I have a pain above the eye socket when i look to the extremes of my vision (up, down or to the sides). ongoing for 3 days. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eye pain with: Movement can be benign (harmless) or a sign of potential vision threatening issues. At the least it could be related to sinus congestion. On the other end of the spectrum, thyroid disease, muscle inflammation, optic nerve inflammation, peri-orbital mass and other more urgent possibilities exist. A good evaluation with a history and eye exam from your ophthalmologist is recommended.
