Yes: The infection if it stays localized will not affect your baby at all. If it were to become systemic, that is, if the bacteria were to move into your bloodstream, then that could affect the baby. If it's not getting better see your doctor again. If you have concerns about your doctor, consider getting a second opinion. Amoxicillin is a good anabiotic but may not be first in line for skin infection.
