I get severe cramping in my arch and a thin posterolateral portion of my calf when i run. i also have sciatica and flat feet. how are these related?

Sciatica: Sciatica refers to pain which radiates down the sciatic nerve, which is a large bundle of nerves that travels down the back of the leg. In your case, the sciatica certainly could be causing the pain in your arch and calf. However, if you have flat feet, then that could also be contributing to the cramping in your arch. See a physician to get this sorted out.

Depends: This could be both plantar fasciitis and sciatica or could just be sciatica alone. I would suggest seeing a sports medicine/spine physician who could help decide further with you.
