A member asked:

Can a therapist who works mainly with children also help a young adult?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Probably. Therapists are trained to work with adults and children. At a later time, they may choose to specialized in working with children. The important elements in a therapist are empathy, compassion, respect which are aided by intuition. These should easily translate from children to young adults.
