Let me explain: The popping nose could come from several reasons, inflame tissues around the ankle, tendons may be sprain and change there tract (subluxation) or possible injury to the ankle joint it self and loose body in the joint. Give it 2 weeks and use anti-inflammatory medications if did go away consult your doctor.

Still healing: After an ankle sprain the ligaments are still healing. They lose their ability to support the ankle after such an injury. Braces (even elastic type) can be helpful to those with such an injury. It can take at least 6 wks for ankle sprains to heal.
