Could be weather rel: Sometimes when the relative humidity is low, people have itching on their back, or on their shins, or thighs, because it's too dry. This is also true in high humidity conditions as well. So the body tends to respond best to humidity's just about 55%. Other causes are fungal, eczema, or inflammatory conditions. Depending on the cause will determine the treatment. Sometimes, food/nut/topical oil allergies can cause this too.
