A member asked:

I take nexium (esomeprazole) twice a day for about a month now. could this cause heart problems? my chest has been hurting and left arm going numb.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Nexium (esomeprazole) does not cause heart problems. You should see a doctor however to find out what is going on. It is very uncommon for a 22 year old to have heart problems, but it's not unheard of. Although the cause of your symptoms is not the nexium, (esomeprazole) you need to find out what's up right away, don't delay.
