Wart?: Skin tags are benign skin colored growths. They're typically not rough hard or scaly or pointed. It sounds like what you're describing is a wart which is caused by a virus, is not dangerous and can be treated. However with all this said get the growth checked out by a dermatologist to confirm it's benign nature.

Soft skin growths: Skin tags are soft skin growths which are harmless.These are usually found on eye lids, neck, armpita, groin folds, and under breasts. Anyone can develop skin tags at some time in life.Middle aged obese adults are more prone to it.These can be easily removed by tying off with thread or suture or cutting off.
