Be strong willed: You are ultimately responsible at 18yo of what you put in your mouth. Discuss your healthy eating wants with your mother and hopefully it will rub off on her too. Tell her before she drowns food in butter, that maybe she could put some aside for you and you can eat that portion, or better yet, she does not drown it in butter and you all eat healthier.
