Many do: There is some risk of an ABO interaction between the mom and her baby that may cause mild to moderate jaundice in the newborn period. It is not a problem during pregnancy.Most of these prove to be a minor problem that resolves with little if any therapy.I've only had one that required aggressive therapy (blood transfusion at 1 month) in 30 yrs of practice.
