Neck pain: The shunt can be a cause, but more likely it is cervical strain or possibly a cervical disk herniation. I would get an exam by a neurosurgeon or neurologist and then imaging to look at the shunt and the cervical spine.

Radiculopathy : Your symptoms sound more like a cervical (neck) radiculopathy (pinched nerve) than a problem with your shunt. However, i would rec that you first have the shunt evaluated (you didn't report why you have it). The eval may include an MRI of brain and cervical spine to make sure you don't have a fluid backup ; give info as to whether u have a cervical disc problem. See ur neurosurgeon!
