May be normal, but: If she has had a gyn examination and explained to him/her her menstrual history, I am sure that the gynecologist would have made some comment if there was a serious medical problem. If she does not have a gynecologist she should find one soon. Eating a lot of almonds should not play any part in her menstrual history.
