No.: A lipoma is a benign (usually harmless) tumor, surrounded by a distinct membrane. Lipodystrophy is unrelated, and one does not lead to the other.

NO: Lipodystropy is a condition with loss of fat tissue, abnormal degeneration of fat tissue, some could be hereditary , some time due to lack of circulating lipton , fat distribution may alter, will loose where you don't want ( face, cheeks, arms ) gets deposited where you don't want . Lipomas are benign tumors not in metabolic sys will not undergo lipodystrophy.
