No: Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and will not help the itch. Try an over the counter moisturizing cream and if severe an over the counter Hydrocortisone cream (but not more than a week at a time).

Will not help: Until you have your health insurance limit your bathing, only use soap in your armpits and groin and apply vaseline or aquaphor on the irritated areas.If you cannot sleep at night because of the itching there are many over the counter antihistamines including zyrtec and Allegra (fexofenadine) . Good luck.
