Do cf kidshave periods of health? i.e. does their stool ever present as healthy? do they have periods of easier breathing? or are they always sick?

Depends: If they are well managed by their pcp and their CF team with meds and therapy, they grow up with a relatively normal childhood. Regular and thorough review is necessary to do so, but a pretty healthy life is possible for the first 2 decades at least ( thats the ones i know the best).
