A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can: Chocolate cysts or endometriomas, are associated with endometriosis. This condition is known to cause both scar tissue and inflammation in the pelvis. Scar tissue in the tubes can lead to infertility. It's not 100% that if you had an endometrioma that you will have infertility. Every woman is different. If cyst ruptures, can also cause pain. See doctor if you're worried this happened. Good luck!
