Alittle....: Is there a "dangler" thread attached? Regardless, you can ask if some topical anesthetic gel (xylocaine/urojet) can be placed in your urethra first, before the stent is extracted.

Maybe: You haven't mentioned where the stent was placed. Thinking of stents that would be removed is suspect you had a stent placed in your ureter, the tube from your kidney to your bladder. That would have been for a blocked kidney stone. In that case it will be uncomfortable when it is removed. Or a stent might be placed is in bile duct if it was blocked. Let us know where it is.
