A member asked:

I have had vitiligo over 20 yrs my dad wants to give me his pigment cells since mine are "on strike" as i put it. would this work assuming we matched?

See a dermatologist: Various treatments for vitiligo may be more expensive and hazardous than the results justify. You can easily learn to use stain on your skin to restore color. Most people learn to live with it. Check your thyroid periodically. Vitiligo is autoimmune. It makes you a bit more likely to show other autoimmune disorders. Thyroid problems are most common. May also see arthritis, psoriasis, colitis, etc.
