Counseling, group Rx: This is apparently a bigger problem than people admit. Eating is often a reaction to stress. Good habits and a strict diet can help, but are often not enough so counseling and group therapy can provide that extra edge. Counseling, especially with your doctor or a psychiatrist can give you insight into why this is done, and group therapy can help by showing you others with similar problems.
