That's a stone: In general, i would say any "concretion" that you pee out would be called a stone. They do not have to be from the kidney as the bladder can have stones too. A single stone may not need to be evaluated, but if you have had more than one, you should probably get a clear diagnosis. Stones can occur for different reasons. Ultimately the treatment of stones is staying hydrated, regardless of type.
